Hello everyone! I've been doing as much research as possible about applying to the master's programs for medical illustration and I came across this thread. I see that there's been a thread regarding this topic every year so I figure I'll add to it as well. Is anyone else in the process of applying that would like to share their experience as well? I love hearing about others that go through the same process as me because I don't know any that do currently. It would be nice to share ideas and experiences :). I sent my application to Hopkins, UIC, and Augusta. I heard back from Hopkins but nothing from the other two schools and I'm hoping for the best. The waiting period stress me out. Also, if anyone has gotten through the process and would like to give me some interview tips or what to show for your sketchbook I would greatly appreciate it!

Hello! I applied to medical illustration grad school programs that start in Fall of 2019. Does anyone have advice on how to prepare for a graduate school interview for these programs? I've never had a grad school interview in my life and what to know how to prepare myself. Also, any timeline ideas on when I might hear back from the other schools? I have an interview at Augusta, and I applied to Hopkins, Chicago, and Toronto. Thanks! -Jordan

Poking my head out of the waiting bubble to see if anyone else has applied this year for any of the masters programs in Medical Illustration? I applied to Augusta, UIC, Toronto and Hopkins and have heard back from UIC and Hopkins so far (interviews in Feb), still waiting on the others. It'd be nice to chat about the programs!

I saw there was a thread last year, so I figured I'd ask for this application round. Anyone out there apply for a medical illustration program? I'm currently playing the waiting game with RIT. And...I may have sort of chickened out of applying to any of the other schools. Good news is I got accepted into my backup plan: an MPS in Information Visualization at MICA. Not medical illustration, but should certainly aid me in getting my foot in the door for scientific communication. With that being said, how'd your interviews go? Have you heard back from the different schools? I'd love to know!
