Hi, I am a physician from India. It has been more than 6 months that I work as a resident at the dept.of Bone Marrow transplant ina leading hospital from where I picked up interest in immunology and microbiologyBwfore that,I worked at the dept.of Anaesthesia,covid isolation ward for a month.I am a licensed physician now after completing 6 years of medical school. I don't have significant lab based research experience other than an editorial letter published in a low impact journal about nutrition and a psychometric analysis based on student's understanding of undergraduate medical curriculum. I also had clinical elective at singapore general hospital for 2 weeks. What are my chances if I apply to masters in microbiology/immunology in us grad school? i have already applied to one university in Sweden and I am waitlisted at number 7.I don't see getting a confirmation letter from them. which schools do you recommend to apply considering as an international medical graduate my lack of lab based research and publication ? -
I haven't heard back from this programme but when I emailed I got this response: Unfortunately, we had one of the largest applicant pools on record, and you weren’t selected for our first round of interviews. While many applicants have already been rejected, the Admissions Committee decided to keep your application on file and it falls into group that would be revisited depending on the responses and timing of the first offers. However, any further consideration would not happen until late March. Sorry for the news, and please do let us know if you want us to keep your application under consideration. I was wondering how this works and what the timeline for this is considering I haven't been interviewed? Do they send out more interview invites in late March? Will I realistically get into the programme or am I better off placing my bets elsewhere? Thank you!

Hi everyone, I'm applying to the USC Keck School of Medicine's molecular microbiology and immunology program for the Fall 2020 semester. I've been personally reviewing my own statement of purpose but I'd like to reach out and have a less biased reviewer possible help me out with some tips. The length requirement is 1-2 pages and the prompt is as follows: Why are you interested in pursuing the Master of Science in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology degree? Biomath programs - how to set myself up for success

Not sure if this is the right place to post my question, but if there are any biomath/math/bio people hanging around your help would be very appreciated. I am a second-year undergrad at a large state university trying to plan out a course of study that will prepare me well for graduate school for biomathematics. I am considering doing a double-degree in math and biology. I am also involved in undergraduate research. I'm trying to make sure I take all the classes I need, and also that I graduate in a timely manner. I have heard that five years is ok as long as they don't think you're doing it to reduce your courseload (I'm not, but there's only so many STEM courses you can take in one quarter... ) What are some class recommendations that you have? How few credits is too few?
