  1. Hi everyone! I received an invite to interview with MWU in Glendale. I'm excited since this is my second time applying. I was on the interview waitlist the first time and my GRE stats are higher now. What should I expect (questions, suggestions, advice) and what will help prepare me? The interview will be virtual, so it saves a trip to the school. Thank you
  2. Hello All -A little about me, I am currently in the process of interviewing at Midwestern and just finished an interview at Adler. I am pursuing a Psy.D and leaning towards a neuropsychology emphasis to prepare me to work with a wide array of mental-diagnoses and patients that span from adolescents to adults. I am very open to what clinical setting to work in but at some point in my career I would like to work with the prison population. -I am looking for someone who attends either of these schools or has proficient knowledge in them to help me weigh out some pros and cons. Midwestern in particular has been hard to find specific faculty information about and locating previous or current students has been hard as well. So far I enjoy the location of Midwestern more than Adler and the cost may be slightly less. However, Adler seem to be very reputable and is more well-known which makes me more comfortable committing 5 years of my life to. Anything information that people could add would be extremely helpful and I would greatly appreciate any input!!!
  3. Hello everyone, First time posting so please forgive me if this is addressed elsewhere. Does anyone know if Midwestern University - Glendale's PsyD programs ranks their waitlist? If so, how did you find out what rank you are on the waitlist? Thank you all
  4. I've been reading forum after forum about people who got accepted and rejected from speech path grad schools. I'm kind of freaking out because the people who were accepted have such higher stats than me. I'm double majoring in communication sciences and disorders and psychology, have a 3.5 GPA, I am only a junior so I have not taken the GRE but on practice tests I've scored a 285 which I know isn't that great but I've been studying hard. I have over 100 volunteer hours at the children's hospital, on the board of NSSLHA, president of my school's psychology honors society, am a campus student ambassador, on the board of 3 humanitarian clubs, volunteer once a month at a center for adults with special needs as well as a center for children with special needs, I'm a psychology research assistant, I speak Arabic as well as know sign language, and occasionally volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House. I know my extracurriculars are fine but everyone seems to have a 300 on the GRE and a 3.7-4.0 GPA I feel so average. My top schools are Saint Xavier University, Midwestern, Lewis University (they're opening a new program during my application season.) and Governors State all in Illinois. Has anyone gotten into any of those schools with a similar GPA and GRE? I'm freaking out I know my GPA isn't horrible but it's also not the best...it just seems so average.
  5. I just scheduled my interview for Midwestern University-Glendale. I was hoping that someone who has been to an interview at this school could tell me what the layout of the day looks like. it says we have to be there no later than 7:45 am and finish at 2:30 pm. That seems like a long day for an interview. It would also be super helpful if you could tell me what the interview was like. Was there a writing sample? Thanks!
  6. Hey guys, I applied to Midwestern's OT entry level doctorate program. I have heard NOTHING since December. Help! When will I know something? Anything?! Signed, A very nervous, hopeful graduate student.
