Hi. I've received admits from University of British Columbia, Vancouver and McGill University, Montreal. Both these are funded masters programs. I'm unable to choose between the two! I like the McGill research topic better. The stipend value is also greater here. Plus Montreal is much more cheaper than Vancouver. However, Vancouver is an amazing city to be in and I wouldn't want to miss it(?). Also, not being a francophone might hurt me in Montreal. Any inputs from seniors would be appreciated. For UBC: MASc in Mechanical Engineering For McGill: MEngg (thesis) in Biological

I would like to provide some information regarding the reality of getting admitted to top 5 ranked Canadian graduate schools in the Computer Science Program. I work in the field and it appears to me that many applicants are not aware of some of the basic requirements to be admitted that are not overtly stated but definitely required. Unfortunately, I am unable to reveal my university or position as I wish to remain anonymous. Most of the time, you MUST have previous degree from a top school of your country, especially for students with a degree outside of Canada/USA/UK. This is extreme

Concordia U - Cryptic Email about Financial Options
Tyedyedturtle91 posted a topic in Waiting it Out
Hi everyone, I applied to a variety of MFA and MA programs in fiction writing, including the MA program at Concordia University in Montreal, QC, Canada. I am from the US, thus an international applicant. Today, I received a weird email from someone in financial aid, providing important links for financial aid resources. It thanks me for my interest in CU, and says that " Once you have been accepted we can discuss your program costs, your budget and determine what resources are available to you." I found this email very weird. I've never received anything like it from another program-

I haven't accepted yet, but it's looking more and more likely that I'll be heading to McGill in the fall! Anyone else here planning to go?

Just starting a thread for anyone going to McGill University in Montreal in the fall. I still haven't committed, but I probably will take the offer this week! It would be nice knowing if anyone else is going?!

Hello, I've been offered a place in the MA Art History at the UofT. My first choice remains McGill, however. I was wondering if anyone here has done their graduate studies in art history at McGill and the UofT, and could help me make a choice, but mostly give me feedback about the art history department of both universities. I should also note that I still haven't received a response from McGill, and getting quite anxious about it. But if I got in at the UofT, shouldn't I get accepted at McGill too? As they are both the best universities in Canada. Thanks
