    MS Finance from Notre Dame

Hi, I need help with deciding if I should do an MSF from Notre Dame. I have almost 10 years of experience in corporate finance/accounting roles. I would have to quit my full time job to do the program. It is a 1 yr program and I can manage it financially. Its just that I am not sure if it makes sense to quit my job and do an MSF. I want to do it for 2 reasons: one, because I personally wish to attain a masters degreee, and second because it seems that to move to manager level positions, I need a masters degree. I also plan to study for my CFA or CPA (not decided on one yet) exams during the year, since I would not be working full time at least initially and am hoping to be able to manage the programs workload and CFA/CPA studies. Advice and questions are welcome. Thanks.
  2. Does anyone know if Notre Dame, of its own initiative, will accept an applicant into its MTS program while at the same time denying him admission to its theology PhD program (in cases where the person has only applied to the theology PhD, but not the MTS)? If one desires such treatment, do we have to indicate as such on our applications? Do schools only do this for people applying straight from undergrad?

    Notre Dame - Peace Studies

Hello, Has anyone heard back from ND's Kroc Institute--specifically, the PhD program in Peace Studies and Political Science? Thanks!
  4. I've applied for the MA in Global Affairs at Yale, and at the University of Notre Dame. The program at the University of Notre Dame is relatively new but, it seems promising. The wait is killing me. Anyone else who has applied to these or similar programs?

  6. Hi all, I am applying to grad programs in Second Temple Judaism and Christian origins, and I'm interested to know what you think my chances are of getting accepted. Master's programs to which I'm applying: MTS @ HDS, ND, Duke Div MA(TS) @ Princeton Sem MA in Early Christian Studies @ ND MAR in Second Temple Judaism @ YDS MA @ Toronto Education BA in Theology, minor in Classics (4.0) MA in Biblical Languages (4.0) [May 2018]* --- both from same evangelical university Languages Greek [classical & Koine] (advanced) Hebrew (advanced) Latin (intermediate) Aramaic (intermediate) German (beginner) -GRE 163 (V), 158 (Q), 4.5 (AW) -One conference presentation (university's theology conference) -Received departmental and university-wide awards during undergraduate years -Two research assistantships Some reasons I'm interested in doing another master's before PhD: -to diversify my education -to develop my research interests into a dissertation topic & proposal -to develop proficiencies in Sahidic Coptic, Syriac, and German -to hopefully get accepted to a PhD program at one of the schools listed above I'd appreciate any thoughts or feedback, especially from those with inside experience at/in any of these schools/programs. + A_CS
  7. Hey all, I recently got accepted into UT Austin, University of Notre Dame, WUSTL and UCRiverside for a PhD in Chemical Engineering. All offers have similar funding and all the programs are pretty great, especially UT Austin and Notre Dame. I want to continue in academia so I want to make a good decision about my university. Any advice? Thanks!
  8. Hey guys it's getting quite late and I keep waiting. I haven't come accross many other applicants from this program, is any of you out there waiting? If so are you in the dark as well?
  9. I've only seen a couple of people submit to the results survey that they have either been accepted or rejected. While being accepted is better than being rejected, not knowing is worst of all! I'm still checking my email constantly and visiting this site frequently to see if others have received news, but no such luck. Admittedly, I'm kind of going crazy at this point. I thought that I would have heard something by now...one way or another... Has anyone else applied to the Masters program for Peace Studies at Notre Dame? Has anyone heard back? Who contacted you and how? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
