  1. Hi there, Has anyone heard anything from this program? It was the hybrid online-inperson at the El Segundo location? The advisors that I spoke with at ASHA had no idea it was happening. I saw another thread somewhere saying they rotate the location between CA and Oregon. Just wondering if it really is happening......Feels like a ply to take my money at this point.
  2. Hey guys, so I just wanted to create a very specific topic for those who have applied to Nova's PsyD program. I know some people have gotten interview invitations and hope to hear from you. I have visited the campus and assisted an event about their Psychology programs so feel free to ask questions and I'll be happy to answer them to the best of my abilities.
  3. Hey everyone! Is there anyone here who has experience with NSU and knows about their 25 hour clinic requirement? I want to apply for their Fall 2018 semester but my clinic hours are currently in progress and won't be completed by their deadline. I don't exactly know if this will disqualify me as an applicant as I've heard mixed things every time I call their department. No one from their admission board has answered any of my emails either.... If any one has any thoughts or knowledge on the matter it would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks guys
  4. Hello everyone! I am applying for the Fall 2018 semester to a Master's program for speech-language pathology. I'm looking for advice from anyone who has any information on these programs. NJ: Montclair State University William Paterson University Kean University Seton Hall University Stockton University Monmouth University NY: Mercy College New York Medical College Iona College (developing program) Touro College Teacher's College CT: Sacred Heart University (developing program) University of Connecticut FL: Florida International University NOVA Southeastern University University of Central Florida
  5. Hi everyone, I am new to this whole blog and website and just really need some solid advice. I am applying to Nova Southeastern University for the Psy.D. program with a few other Master's as a back-up. I am pretty much discouraged to even finish my application at this point because I took the GRE (for the 3rd time) and got a combined score of 293. (Verbal-150, Quant: 143, AW: 4.0) I know this is a low score and is not competitive enough. I was hoping some other aspects of my application would come in and save me from the rejection pile. They have a strong "preference" for a GRE score of 297 or above. A little info on myself: -3.72 GPA -Over 3 years of research experience. Started as an Undergraduate RA, was hired as the assessment specialist for my lab and am now the research coordinator for the new grant. -I was a counselor for an intensive 8-week intervention program for children who were obese and at risk for comorbid disorders such as depression, anxiety etc. This totaled out to over 340 hours of clinical work. -3 very strong letters of recommendation I appreciate honesty and any advice you have to offer. I am retaking the GRE in December one last time, but I fear there won't be a huge change in my score.
