  1. Hey all! Just wondered if there was anyone in the same boat as I am, after finishing applications for various Performance Studies graduate programs, and is freaking out! Did anyone apply to the Columbia Theatre and Performance Studies Program? That's my dream program but it must be crazy difficult to get in....where else did folks apply?
  2. I didn't see any forums for performance studies PhD programs beginning in Fall 2018.... probably because I'm the only one overly excited to be posting this early! I'm applying to quite a few schools. Columbia and Northwestern are my top picks. Just hoping to find a few other friends who might want to drive themselves nuts with me on this forum for the next twelve months! Ha! I'd love to know where else you are all applying.
  3. Hi Guys! I'm starting the process of applying to grad school this spring. I am currently deciding whether I want to go to an MFA directing program or do a performance studies MA/PhD because, while I ultimately want to direct theater, I find that research is sacrificed for "studio" work in MFA programs. What are directing programs that offer extensive research opportunities or performance studies programs that allow you ample to time to create your own work? Location is not important to me. Thanks so much!
