  1. Hey guys! I hope you're all well. After I finish my undergrad in a years time, I'm really keen on doing a masters in political science focusing on International relations and American politics. I'm from Europe and hoping to do my masters in Columbia Uni. I know our education system is different to the American one so I was wondering what the work load is like as a grad student especially for people attending Columbia? How many hours of classes do you have a week and how many essays do you have a week? If one is organised and dedicated is it all manageable? What are your assignments like? I saw that the writing sample to apply is 30 pages and the longest essay I've written has been 8 so I was wondering if that was the norm in American universities. Thank you so much in advance!
  2. I am second year political science PhD student at Texas. This evening my varsity decided not continue my funding for Fall 2020. I am an international student. Is there any graduate program at any US PolSci department where I can transfer my course credit or apply for PhD now (for Fall 2020). Urgent feedback required. Thanks in advance!
  3. Hey guys!! ? I think it is about time to start this year's application thread. I'm sure many of you have already started the application process and some are finished. I hope this thread will help you in ways it can and give you as much info on schools as possible. I am applying for the third time (due to financial reasons could never accept the offers), you know what they say third is the charm. Personally i will be applying for MA in International Relations/Affairs with concentrations in Development and Human Rights. Best of luck to all of you and hopefully this time i actually get to go to Grad School And below are the schools that i would be applying to for the Fall 2019 term: Yale Jackson Institute of Global Affairs Baruch CUNY Austin W. Marxe School of public and International Affairs Penn State school of International Affairs University of Georgia Seton Hall University My UGPA is 3.6 i will have worked 2 years by next summer. My GREs are in the 153s not that but i will try to work with it.
