  1. Hello everyone, I wanted to initiate a discussion forum for candidates, like me, who are in the waiting list for Pardee Rand Graduate School. I think the least we can do is to communicate and share our opinions and views on whether there's still a possibility to make it, and to sort of derive a communal inspiration from someone in the previous cohorts, if any, who had been successful to be accepted into the program off the waitlist. We do have to accept that being on the waiting list is a mixbag of hope and despair. But I do invite you to share your feelings, guidance and views here. Thank you.
  2. Hi everyone, I’m planning on applying to the PhD in Public Policy at Pardee RAND for the Fall of 2018. I noticed that they have really good data on the standardized test scores of the current students. Has anyone seen any data on the applicants’ graduate GPAs? Similarly, does the pre-application help in admissions? I have a MS from MSU in their Ag, Food, and Resource Economics department with a GPA of about 3.65 and am wondering if I am competitive. I also was a TA in my time at MSU and previously was an Army Officer who served in Afghanistan. I’m hoping that the application committee takes all of these characteristics into account. Any feedback or thoughts would be a help. Thanks
  3. Hi Everyone. I haven't been able to find much on people applying to the phd program in public policy at Pardee RAND. I see from their site that the average GRE scores for admitted students are mid-600s for verbal and mid-700s for math, but does anyone have any other data on admitted students (like typical work/research experience, number of people with advanced degrees, etc)? Also, is anyone familiar with the program or the research coming out of RAND? What is it known for (besides being quantitative in nature) and what is it not good at? What is the student satisfaction with the program? Any info/perspectives would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
