I'm applying to PhD program in stat/biostat this fall. I have two rec let from professors I did research with. I'm deciding for the 3nd one from the following possibilities. I'd appreciate if someone can offer advice. 1. I'm doing thesis with a professor whom I plan to ask the 3rd letter from. My concern is that the thesis is a continuation from my summer research with one of the two profs I will get the letters from. So I don't know if it lacks diversity. 2. A rec let from Real Analysis prof. I'm doing pretty well in class. But I don't plan to apply to programs with Measure Theory though... 3. A rec let from Cs Algorithms class. Any recommendations? Thanks!
Hello, So basically my professor submitted late LOR for Stanford and UIUC. The website clearly states that they are strict and they cannot garuntee a review on anything that submitted late. (I am assuming they are talking about the entire application and not just the LOR). The person was late by 6 days and I am not sure what is the best I can do? I tried emailing but this is the response I got: "Any supporting documents such as transcripts, scores, and letters of recommendation that are received after the deadline are not guaranteed full review by the admissions committee." Since the universities are really reputed, I m worried that do they even consider this?
My grad application status for university of Maryland says " decision ready-awaiting documentation" what does this mean? Should I contact grad school ? Also I was recommended for admission by department but my gpa is below a 3.0, will grad school automatically reject me? Any experience with UMD ?
