  1. I had a Skype interview for PhD. in oxford last week. They told me they will have their decision within mid. March, but if I need an earlier decision then I'll contact them. 1. The interview was not terrible, and I could answer most of their questions, but I got confused in few questions (not necessarily the most difficult ones...). How good should my interview be in order to get an offer? 2. Do you think it's a good idea to ask for an earlier decision, or it may reduce my chances to get an offer / funding? Thanks!
  2. Just wanted to make a thread for people applying for an English MPhil or Ph.D. at Cambridge for the Fall. I applied for an MPhil in Criticism and Culture. I'm currently in the "under review by degree committee" phase on the portal. Apparently that's a good sign and my application got through the first stage, but I'm also not sure how positive a sign that is for the English program specifically. Anyone else in a similar boat?
  3. I've received an email about a week ago from a prof. At UMD college park asking if I would come to University of Maryland, Chemical Engineering, if I was offered full financial aid. I responded immediately saying yes and he forwarded my email to director of admission and cc'ed me. He added a nice comment on the forwarded email. Haven't heard anything since then and it has been 7 days. What do you think is my status? Should I contact the prof? I need some feedback!! Anyone who was in this position? Thank you!
  4. How many of you have found that the school you applied to have updated the Status of your application? Am I wasting my time looking at these sites everyday?
  5. Hi everyone, So I applied to TC for their doctorate in curriculum and teaching. They emailed me and asked me why I did not apply to their masters in education program. I told them I already have a M.Ed. and want to pursue a doctorate. Now I see I have two open applications, instead of one. Does anyone have a similar situation?
