  1. Hi, I am receiving a lot of mixed feedback about NYU Steinhardt's online master's program. I got accepted there and at another school but I would be required to move. I don't know if I should choose the program where I would get to be in the classroom (but move across the country) or pick the school where I get to stay home and do it online.. I think hearing from students who actually went through the program or even know someone who went through the program would be really helpful. Please let me know anything you know about NYU Steinhardt's online full-time master's program.
  2. Any other international students out there in the process of accepting an offer to NYU for the Fall 2020 semester during the COVID-19 pandemic? Have you started your i-20 application? I was hoping to attend Steinhardt for the Fall, but with everything going on, the uncertainty has me anxious in moving forward with my acceptance. Considering the cost of tuition, finding living arrangements, and other expenses, has the pandemic changed your plans? As of now, NYU plans to have in person classes this Fall, but who knows how things will move forward... Do you think it's worth the cost for
  3. Anyone hear back from NYU Steinhardt for the Food Studies MA? Can't seem to find much info on it anywhere
  4. Has anyone heard back for the International Education MA at NYU for fall/summer 2017? Decisions were out by now last year but some years it looks like they took closer til the end of March. Or has anyone spoken to admissions and have an idea when they'll go out?
  5. I was accepted to Steinhardt on March 23rd and still haven't received my financial aid award. The financial aid office keeps giving me the "it should be ready in 3-5 business days" runaround. Has anyone else received their financial aid package from NYU? I'm starting in the summer so it's really ridiculous that fees are due for summer classes in 3 weeks and I don't even know if my financial aid will even be here in time to pay for it. This is also preventing me from being able to register for summer classes.
  6. I'm trying to decide between these two schools for a masters in Communicative Sciences and Disorders. I visited Teachers College and was very impressed by their overall program curriculum, their strong commitment to multiculturalism/bilingualism, and how smoothly they integrate the necessary prerequisites into their grad program (I'm an out-of-field applicant). However, it seems that their facilities were slightly outdated, and their research focus may not be as strong or as broad as NYU's? I wasn't able to attend NYU's admitted students day, so I haven't gotten to speak with any current
  7. Oh, the anticipation... The "end of November" decision timeframe is slipping by and all's quiet on the eastern front. Anyone heard back from NYU Steinhardt for the Nutrition MS, Spring 2017? I swear, every time I get an email my heart jumps!
  8. I applied kind of late (day before the deadline lol) to the Masters in clinical nutrition and dietetics at Steinhardt and still have heard nothing? Has anyone else heard anything? I'm going insane
  9. Has anyone had an interview or received information about the Phd in Educational Leadership at NYU Steinhardt? Results are to be mailed out end of March/early April, but the wait is killing me. Anyone?
  10. Hello everyone, I've applied to NYU's Steinhardt's Graduate TESOL program with Initial Certification for the Spring 2012 semester. The deadline was November 1st, however, my applicatoin was submitted early around October 10th, 2011. I'm wondering if any of you have also applied for the spring semester at NYU Steinhardt and for those of you who have been accepted or have any information on when they will let you know of their decision? I'm applying from out of state in Atlanta, GA and I have many concerns such as housing and moving etc...however, when I contact their graduate admiss
  11. I am having trouble deciding between NYU's Gallatin MA program and Steinhardt's Media, Culture & Communications MA. My research areas fit well in both programs, but I am wondering which program will be most helpful when I apply for the PhD. I already live in NYC, and have other offers; however, I have narrowed my choices down to these programs. Forgoing the MA and applying directly to PhD programs next year is not an option. At first I was hesitant because I heard it is difficult to get GA or TA spots in Gallatin, but after talking to current students in both programs, it looks as if
  12. Hi All - I just received my acceptance letter from NYU Steinhardt MA in Art Therapy (crazy excited!), but the letter indicates I will receive my financial aid package "in the next few weeks", and that I must accept by 3/15 for my spot to be held. However, I may not hear from the School of Visual Arts (the other program I am interested in) until early March and, if accepted, may not receive my financial aid package until well after 3/15. Has anyone else dealt with a situation like this and, if so, am I just SOL or are graduate programs (like NYU) flexible in these dates? I just want to
  13. Has anyone heard anything yet? The last thing I heard was that decisions were still being made, but this was on Jan. 25 so it's been a while.
