  1. I've applied to Stony Brook's MSW/social work program in their Manhattan location (decisions are delayed due to the virus). I'd appreciate hearing about the experience from current or former students, even in the main campus. Here are some specific questions: 1. How were the professors? 2. Was there student diversity and stimulating discussions? 3. Did the connections you made help your career? I'm new to this and I'm not sure anyone would see this. I am grateful for any response I get.
  2. Hey everyone, I’m new to the forum so apologies if this thread is in the wrong section. I’m currently applying to the following schools and just wondered if any of you have also applied to any of these programs, and if so, have you heard anything back yet? Or if any of you have previously applied, what time-frame did you receive your answers by? As of right now, my primary concern is for Princeton, Yale, and Cornell. I’ve read a lot of theories on whether or not hearing anything by late February is a good sign or a bad sign— but I’m not sure if these theories hold any water. I’ve only heard ba
  3. Has anyone received an admit or response from the tagged universities? By when do they generally declare the admission decision for Spring applicants?
  4. GRE 321 Verbal 156(71%) Quant 165(90%) AWA 4.0(56%) UG 78% (Top 5 in department) One good relevant project No work experience or research papers (Working on a research paper currently) Want to do MS in Computer Science. Have sent my scores to USC, UCLA, Stony Brook, UMCP I have Columbia, UC Irvine and San Jose State University in mind. What are my chances of getting into these? Also, suggest any other good universities that fit my profile! Thanks, in advance!
  5. I currently have two admits for Masters in Computer Science from University of Central Florida and Stony Brook University. Where Stony Brook has a highly ranked Computer Science Department, UCF has a reputed Computer Vision Department led by Professor Mubarak Shah but its ranking is not so good. I am in a fix right now and unable to decide between the two universities. It would be extremely helpful if anyone could help shed light on this and help me decide better.
