Hi everyone! I'm thinking about applying for the DAAD scholarship this year (deadline is very soon) and, therefore, I need to choose 3 master programmes before I apply. I'm now at the nuclear department in my Uni and I want to specialize in theoretical physics in my master course. The reason is, since my scientific work is about extending Standard Model to describe massive neutrinos (rougly gauge models), I feel that I don't have necessary deep knowledge in QFT and other theoretical fields. I don't want to be so shallow in my scientific work Can someone please recommend the bes
So this semester, it looks like I am getting my first ever Cs (spectroscopy and physics II). I am super bummed but here are my updated specs and plz let me know what you think. I am a junior chem major, dance minor, math minor I go to a "top 100" R1 public university GPA: 3.3 (3.1 major gpa) -I completed a summer undergraduate research fellowship at my school two summers ago (biochemistry) and I am currently trying to move away from that kind of research. -I completed an NSF-REU this past summer at an R2 university. (Theoretical/computational chemistry) -I have p
I am compiling a spreadsheet with the intended purpose of assisting those who are applying to PhD programs in statistics and/or biostatistics. At the moment, I am working on listing the specialties of each program. This can be as general as Theoretical vs. Applied or something more specific such as Longitudinal Data Analysis. I am going to do my own research on which schools have which specialties, but I would like to hear from this forum as well. Of course, when the spreadsheet is completed, I would be more than happy to share it with the forum. Here are the schools I am interested in
