  1. I applied for Technology Innovation Management (TIM) for Fall 2021 since 4/1/2021 but uptill date my status is still showing recommended for assessment, I received a mail from Tim graduate coordinator sometime in February, saying decision will be made first weeks of march, am just curious to know if anyone also applied to TIM program in Carlton university and if they have gotten any response in regards been accepted, am always stress waiting to hear from them, I keep checking Carleton portal every 15 minutes and checking my mail, is anyone together with me in this boat? has anyone gotten acce
  2. Hello! I need some advice. I want to apply to schools in the US, Canada, and UK, but there's an issue... In the US, students must commit to a grad school by April 15th. In the UK, it seems as though schools may not be releasing decisions until June/July (specifically DClinPsy programs). Does anyone have advice for navigating this timing issue? I want to apply in both countries, but that's pointless if I have to either turn down all US programs or commit to one US program before even knowing if I have a place in a UK program.
  3. I spent about 2 months to prepare my MA applications, including asking for letters and GRE prep. I got into a pretty nice program, but sometimes I wonder if spending longer/shorter will change my outcome. Interesting that this was shorter than undergrad application prep, which stretched to a 4 months gruelling process. Just curious: how long did you folks spend to apply to Masters/PhD programs, from research/reaching out to PI to submitting full application package?
  4. Hi everyone! I'll be starting my PhD in Biophysics in the fall, and am wondering when the appropriate time is to start emailing PIs about rotations. I already know which PIs I want to ask for a rotation position with, but is it too early to send those emails? The program website says that a list of labs hosting rotation students will be given out (doesn't say when though) and additional guidance will be provided by advisors during orientation week, but I have a feeling the labs I'm interested in are going to be highly sought after, hence my wanting to ask early. Do most people wait until
  5. TL;DR: How do I write a NSF GRFP application in 3 weeks? How detailed are the research proposals supposed to be? Background - just your average bay area engineer: Graduated in 2016 from joint BS/MS program in Bioengineering Worked at a start up as an R&D engineer from 2016 to March of 2018 So I've been out of academic research for 2 years (no pubs, posters, PIs, etc since 2016). I always intended to do a PhD, and recent events have shown me that now is my time! But then I got more info: I thought that I only had one more chance to apply and th
  6. Does anyone have any idea when MIT ME will send out their decisions for MS/PhD this year? Anxiously waiting rn.
