Hello! I am having trouble deciding between the two schools in the title. I feel pretty set on Columbia but also wonder if it's worth the price tag and debt I'll possibly accumulate (assuming I don't grind for scholarships/fellowships lol) if I'll receive the same kind of education and opportunities at Maryland's School of Social Work. Plus, my therapist actually went to Maryland and she's fantastic to say the least. Additionally, I'm not sure if I want to stay and settle in Maryland since where you'd get your MSW can be indicative of where you'll stay to live and work as a whole. Anyone who's in or been in a similar situation please give me your thoughts!
Can anyone speak to their experience applying to the UMaryland School of Social Work (or other schools)? I turned in the application a few weeks ago, the deadline for the program I am applying to is in two days, and the tracker still says there are items (LORS, etc; which they should have received) missing. Is this normal? Last I heard from anyone the system would have been up-to-date last week. I have tried to contact my admissions counselor a few times inquiring about the items to no response. I would love to attend this school and put a lot of effort into the application, but am interested to hear if others have had similar experiences.
I am applying to the University of Maryland in Baltimore and being that i am aware of how i tend to stray off of topic i was wondering if anyone would be interested in reviewing my statement and offering me some critique or advice. It has 3 questions to answer and the answer can not be longer than 300 words. Please let me know if you have the time and i will send it in a personal message. Thanks
Hello Everyone I'm new to the site so bare with me. I am interested in applying to a school on the Eastern Coast being that i am from NC. I have recently graduated with a BSW and i am very interested in apply for a MSW clinical practice track program. However i am not interest in taking the GRE being that i am not one that does well on standardized test. I have been looking to the University of Maryland in Baltimore ( i feel this school is perfect for me because hey have clinical track, the location for a great internship with oppressed individuals, and they offer a specialized in Mental health and substance abuse). The thing is that because i feel this is the perfect school, my mind will not allow me become interested in other programs. And this is where i need help. I am interested in a MSW program that is clinical track that is located on the Eastern Coast with a fairy low tuition that does not require a GRE and that does have a certification or specialization in MH/SA or medical.
