  1. A thread for political science and global affairs applicants 2020! A place to share worries, post decisions, and wish each other good luck!
  2. Thread for MA Political Science applicants at Canadian universities! Let's wait it out together.
  3. Hi everyone, I'm considering applying into the University of Alberta for Environmental and Occupational Health. For those who were admitted into the program what was your GPA? I'm just trying to understand what the competitive average is. Also, did you come straight from undergrad or did you work for a few years?
  4. So far I have 4/8 rejections and no word from 3/8. TUM is currently processing my application but I have low hopes as they don't recognise the college from where I received my bachelors degree. Anyone else waiting for responses from UToronto, UMich Ann Arbor and NTU? My applications are Electrical/Electrical and Computer Engineering (VLSI/Microelectronics).
  5. I saw there was a thread last year, so I figured I'd ask for this application round. Anyone out there apply for a medical illustration program? I'm currently playing the waiting game with RIT. And...I may have sort of chickened out of applying to any of the other schools. Good news is I got accepted into my backup plan: an MPS in Information Visualization at MICA. Not medical illustration, but should certainly aid me in getting my foot in the door for scientific communication. With that being said, how'd your interviews go? Have you heard back from the different schools? I'd love to know!
  6. Hi, Just wondering if any international applicant to uoft's MPP or carleton uni's MPPA has received an offer from them. The wait is nerve-racking, i wonder why its taking them this long to make a decision. I'm aware offers have been made to domestic students about a month ago and that uoft noted that offers will be made to international applicants the week of march 28, however no updates since then as to whether the offers were made or not, their response to my email enquiry was just generic. If you have any info, kindly share. Thanks
  7. Right. So I'm finishing up campus visits within the next week, and I have some big decisions to make. I have excellent funding and good potential advisors lined up for all 4 programs in the geosciences, largely focusing on terrestrial or marine stable isotope geochemistry: UToronto earth sciences, funded by Connaught International Scholarship UChicago geophysical sciences, funded by RA/TA, with additional relocation assistance and small 2-year $4500 named fellowships UDelaware oceanography, funded by Marian R Okie fellowship and RA MIT/WHOI marine geology/ chemical oceanography, funded by RA I think I'd be fine with any of these programs, research and career-wise, and I'm continuing to talk to POIs and current students. Anyone have any particular insights into any of these programs, or has anyone faced choosing between these before?

  9. Hello, Any other applicant(s) to the U of T MPP programme for fall 2016. I'm an international applicant, my status now shows 'under review'. Anyone know when they start making offers? I also applied to Carleton's MPPA and UBC's MPPGA.
