  1. I noticed that the thread for audiology applications haven't been created yet. Feel free to post questions or any concerns!
  2. Hi, I am currently a student at Queens University majoring in life science and minoring in employee relations. I am looking at two programs Western Masters of Health Information Science and Queens Master of Public Health. I just want to know other peoples experience in the program as I am very conflicted about the two programs.
  3. Hi everyone! I posted in Waiting it Out, but thought I would give it a shot here as well I am anxiously awaiting any kind of response from both McMaster and University of Western Ontario regarding admissions to the master of sciences in statistics program. I applied in January, and it is now June and have not heard back from either school. Has anyone heard back? Either an acceptance, wait list or rejection? I am very frustrated at this point and would love to hear other applicants thoughts/journeys for a statistics masters! If anyone was admitted to either program, would you mind sharing your GPA or any work experience that helped boost your application? Any info is appreciated, and thanks in advance!
  4. Hi there, I created this thread so those of us who are applying to Canadian Audiology programs can support each other throughout the application process!
  5. Hello Folks, I hope all of you are doing well. Please use this thread to discuss Admits, Reject and Waiting for Applicants of University of Western Ontario for Computer Science Fall 2019. How long is the reply going to take? My Application: MSc Computer Science Coursework (1.5 Years) Fall 2019, CGPA: 8.6/10 TOEFL(IBT): 99. Regards.
  6. Hi everyone! I'm starting to look at university applications for a potential PhD in autumn 2018 and I've come across Women's Studies and Feminist Research at Western University, Ontario. I really like the look of the program but I know that it's fairly new. Are there any Western students on here who might be able to chat about the program and how they're finding it? My interests are in linking sociology and phenomenology, especially focusing on contraceptives and reproductive technologies, so the department of WSFR seems like a good fit! Thanks Amelia
  7. This might sound like a really stupid question, but I don't know when the deadline to accept my UWO offer is. There is nothing about this on the departmental website OR on the graduate admissions website as far as I can tell. I emailed the grad admissions office, who told me to contact my department about the deadlines. The department contact person in turn told me that I can find all the information in the admission letter. But the deadline is not there! I checked the letter three times now: all it says in terms of dates is I need to complete any outstanding requirements (i.e. send official transcripts) a month before commencing my studies and get a study permit. I am a little afraid I'll annoy the program coordinator if I email them again. I also don't want to just poke around on the portal because the system UWO uses is not the most user-friendly, what if I accidentally reply to my offer before I am ready? So what do I do now? Wait a while before asking again? The programs I have not heard from yet release the decisions very late, in early May, so I really need to know if I can wait this long before deciding. Western folk out there, when was/is your deadline to accept? Is it universal across the university? I am not sure: is April 15th a thing in Canada? Does it matter if your offer is funded/unfunded?
  8. Hi everybody! I've applied to the University of Toronto Social and Behavioural Studies MPH and the Western MPH but the bad news: last year's GPA: ~3.1 but this year I'm confident that it will be ~3.7 I have no research experience but I got to work in a government position that focused on pesticides and public health and I've been volunteering extensively in the health promotion field for the past few months. I understand that my GPA is definitely lower than most of the applicants and I was just wondering if anybody had any insight on how competitive I would be compared to most other applicants. I'm 100% prepared to get rejected and do a 5th year double majoring in biomed and legal studies but I'm just wondering how I can make my application more competitive after the 5th year. Thanks so much in advance!
  9. Hi there, Thought I'd start a thread for those of us waiting to hear back from Canadian SLP schools. Please share if you've heard anything from Canadian programs, or have any helpful information for those of us getting anxious! Thanks!
