I'm a Mechatronics undergrad thinking of applying to the RSC Masters at ETHZ next year, and had a few questions. 1) Anybody know what the admissions statistics are? I already know they're quite high, but it'd help me determine my chances. I tried getting in touch with their admissions department for statistics, but it seems that they don't give them out. 2) Should we reach out to profs with our info (GPA, GRE, research interests) to see if we're a good fit for the program? Wasn't sure if this is appropriate, but I thought it'd be a good way to gauge my chances as well. For reference, my profile is: Mechatronics Engineering Bachelors at top 5 Canadian University GPA 3.9 GRE 170Q/164V/5AW 1 year of work experience 0.5 years of research experience (not in desired field of study though)

Hi, Is there anyone here who's applying this round? Try to help each other waiting it out ?

I was wondering if any of us lucky ones who got into ETH Zürich (yes, that's WITH an Umlaut) for Autumn 2018 could connect here? We could get to know each other and pool our knowledge on things like accommodation easily. I'll be doing a Masters in Engineering Physics starting September, unless I get a better offer by April.

Has anyone heard from ETH Zurich yet regarding admits

Hi, I have applied to quite a few Masters and PhD in Economics, and so far I have only received two responses, both which were somewhat positive, an admission offer from SFU with a $21,000 scholarship and an admission offer from Bocconi. Now, my problem is that Bocconi expect an answer before March 11th and SFU by then end of the month. I am still waiting for Cornell, UBC, and the University of Zurich (I sent that one very late, like 2-3 weeks ago). I honestly don't know what to do. Should I email them and let them know of my other deadlines (and offers?), and see if they can give me an idea of where my application is at? What about those two offers, how do these two universities compare? I heard bad things about Milan, how does the quality of life of those two places compare? I should add that I plan on pursuing a Ph.D after I am done with my Masters.

I found a supervisor who is interested in have me as his PhD student in ETH, Zurich. However he does not have anymore funding for me. I am a Canadian and already hold an NSERC PGS at the moment. I want to switch labs to ETH. Apparently the funding from NSERC is not enough to live in Switzerland. I have two questions 1. Does anyone know what are the scholarships, fellowships, grants, that I am eligible to apply for? 2. How rigorous is the evaluation of NSERC in letting their award holders to change research location/supervisor? Thanks!
