2018-2019 Application Cycle

Recommended Posts

Hey guys!! ?

I think it is about time to start this year's application thread. I'm sure many of you have already started the application process and some are finished. I hope this thread will help you in ways it can and give you as much info on schools as possible.

I am applying for the third time (due to financial reasons could never accept the offers), you know what they say third is the charm. Personally i will be applying for MA in International Relations/Affairs with concentrations in Development and Human Rights.

Best of luck to all of you and hopefully this time i actually get to go to Grad School ;)

And below are the schools that i would be applying to for the Fall 2019 term:

  1. Yale Jackson Institute of Global Affairs
  2. Baruch CUNY Austin W. Marxe School of public and International Affairs
  3. Penn State school of International Affairs
  4. University of Georgia
  5. Seton Hall University

My UGPA is 3.6 i will have worked 2 years by next summer. My GREs are in the 153s not that but i will try to work with it.

Applying for the first time.

3.5 years of work experience from India, graduated in 2011 and worked in a different sector before doing development work.

Bad GPA, 323 on the GRE, A+ in stats and As in micro and macro from UCLA

Applying to Harvard, Princeton, Yale Jackson, Duke Sanford and Lee Kuan Yew.

Have a draft ready for HKS but working on my Princeton essays right now which are becoming slightly difficult for me.

Hi Everyone !!

I am actually applying for the MIPP programs at GW Elliott and Hopkins SAIS.  I am applying for early admissions for both programs.  I already have a MPA and about 13 years experience in the DC area.  I am so glad I do not have to take the GRE as part of the admin process.

I wish everyone luck !!

Thanks for getting this started, OP!

I'm applying for the first time for my MPA (I have grad work in library science).

Background: AmeriCorps VISTA alum, 6 years of work experience in nonprofit/local government, 3.5 UGPA (3.8 for final three semesters [no term GPA for study abroad]). I haven't taken the GRE yet but plan to in January.

Program: MPA and MPM

Schools: American SPA, Mason Schar, and UMD

Best of luck to everyone!
