Applied to WWS and HKS (MPP). Couldn't apply to Stanford - just didn't have the time or energy to write a 7 page policy paper. Plus I didn't feel it was a good fit for me. Well I had the same problem/ dilemma and finally decided to submit my WWS policy memo as an "academic sample". Stanford was ok with it (drafted few more pages though) !
