Also waiting! Soooo anxious, I haven't been able to do any work today (also I would like to get some good news so I don't have to submit OGS tomorrow hahaha)

Ontario as well and nothing. I am so curious what order they send the emails out in. I.e.: accepted and then rejected? Province by province? Alphabetical? By institutions?

Maybe the most qualified are emailed first.. and possibly work their way down.

I fee like it is likely split by subject area because different people will be responsible for the different areas.

If it helps, I am in Ontario too and I got the letter as mentioned above.. I think its based of subject area

I can't offer much of an explanation, but I disagree with the subject area and "most qualified" explanations. Applications are forwarded by universities, and subject matter experts review them at the national level, and give them a score. Then as far as I know the highest scores across all subject areas get the awards... I don't think there's a quota for each subject area. And since person who posted said it was a pgs (not cgs) the most-qualified explanation doesn't seem correct.
