Welp, I received my last application decision last night. So I guess this cycle is over for me! I'll be posting my profile in the other thread once I make my decision (probably on Sunday).  I wis

Officially struck out this year so I'm done here for now, but congrats to everyone who got in this cycle! For those who did not, solidarity :).

Claiming a rejection from Columbia (email to check the portal this morning). Also claiming a Harvard acceptance (got a call this morning). Only have Yale to hear back from, and after that I'll post my

I did not, But i do know that its an amazing school! The Korbel program is one of the best ones in the country. It out performs some of its rival schools in DC.

I hope you get in!!!

I visited there this summer before applying. It’s an absolutely gorgeous campus and the department is run very well. I’ve heard they only accept 3-4 PhD students a year though.

Woa! Anyone claiming Columbia?  I know we've seen some Columbia trolls this cycle.  My portal is still unchanged..

I haven't seen anything either -- could be a troll or just an earlier admit.

Also, huge congrats to @Dwar on the acceptance!

Just curious... Anyone else applying to CUNY, Rutgers, JHU, Brandeis, or Brown? I've yet to hear from any of them. All theory subfield.

JHU for me, also theory. Out of all the schools I applied to, that may be the best fit. I hope to hear back soon, although I don’t think they release decisions until the end of February.

The decisions are really streaming in now for Columbia. They're saying they got emails to check their portals, but my portal is unchanged so far. Waiting for someone to claim an admit in this thread.

Ditto.  Nothing for me, either.  Portal unchanged.

I applied to CUNY, Rutgers and Brown... I expect Brown any day and Rutgers mid Feb and CUNY in March.  LONG wait left. Also still waiting on Cornell, Columbia, Yale and The New School.

What'd it say?

"While we cannot extend to you a firm offer of admission at this time, over the next few
weeks, we will develop a clearer picture of the size of our entering class, as well as the
parameters of funding opportunities. If we are able to offer you admission, I will
contact you."

Among some other things that are less important. This sounds like I'm on the wait list because of lack of clarity on how many they can bring in this year.

Yep! I've heard that as well. They said they generally see around 100 applications and they take 4 of those 100.

Hi there everyone, I was just popping in and wondering if anyone has heard anything back from Korbel yet? I applied for a dual MSW/MA program and trying to chalk up my debt for both programs, but don't want to get ahead of myself :)

good luck to all

I applied to the PhD program and have heard nothing yet. They normally send out decisions closer to the end of February. Good luck!

For their professional MA programs i suggest you head on over to the "Government Affairs" forum which is under the "Professional" tab. This forum mainly deals with PhD applicants applying for academic oriented programs.

Has anyone reached out to any professors at Brandeis? They specifically mention on their FAQ page that they DO NOT encourage candidates to contact professors before getting admitted to the program. That sounds very weird to me.

I just had a missed call from a NYC number. Looked it up and it was from CUNY. I called them back and they said they have no idea why I have a missed call and they don't call pending applicants. Disappointing... yet, mysterious.

Seconded! I applied to the PhD program and also heard nothing back yet. The portal says late February/early March so still a ways off
