Hello Altruists,

I am looking for a home printer that will be moderately used for printing research papers and one or two pages here and there. I am looking for something like

  • not too expensive,
  • with a good number of page/cartridge.
  • automatic page feeding
  • duplex printing(both sides)

I have looked into the following models:

Canon Pixma MG3620

Canon Pixma TS3312

I am not sure they have the duplex printing ability or not but they are pretty budget printers.

Please suggest from your experiences.

If you just need to print something once in a while and not too much bulk, I'd go for the cheapest one you can find. You may have to pony up a little more for one that prints both sides, but everything else you need comes standard with most printers as far as I know. I always look at the cost of the cartridges when considering a printer since that seem to be where they really get you.
