Visiting: How to Dress

Recommended Posts

If you've already been accepted you can wear nice jeans and a button down shirt. I wouldn't wear sneakers and baggy pants or a tshirt.

If it's an interview weekend, slacks/khakis and button downs for sure. If you're a girl, I'd say wear the female equivalents of what I said above. Good luck.

Thanks, I figured that was the case. I usually dress business casual, but I didn't want to walk in my future cohorts vastly overdressed.

I went to one recruitment weekend last weekend and am attending one this coming week. I have been accepted at both schools, and they both told me to dress business casual. I wore slacks, and a nice button down. No one wore ties.

Agreed with above responses - I would also consider a comfortable sweater (ie: cardigan) or sports jacket (of a more casual material) over a button down. No ties, unless you are interviewing - better to be over prepared and able to remove items of clothing such as your tie, than under prepared and feeling sheepish.

Neutral colors are also encouraged, as you don't want to appear over zealous.

Best wishes!
