Does anyone else feel sick when they think about their already submitted SOP?

There are so many things I wish I could go back and change now.  I can't even bare to read the damn thing.

Anyone else feel this way?  Gah.

Have a grammatical error in the very first sentence --I hope that doesn't affect the overall application, which I deem is quite strong. Though I may not qualify for the scholarship as it's very competitive (950 applications and 15 scholarships), I am happy that I gave my best shot (sans the glitch :( which is unforgivable for a subeditor).

My general feeling about the SOP and writing sample is that I would just assume trash them permanently at this point.  It's a total process of exposing yourself but a necessary one I suppose.  That's why it's best to have a MA faculty advisor, who evaluates PHD apps every year, who doesn't mind editing your SOP.  That way you can endure the embarrassment early on.
