Crucial BBQ Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I do not know which schools you should apply to or the prevalence of the programs you are looking at, but I would hardly call Iowa, Ohio, and perhaps ASU, safeties. Also, I would seriously suggest you research just how effin' cold and snowy Madison gets in the winter (as well as Stony Brook, Boulder, Amherst, Iowa, Ohio, and maybe North Carolina, too). Average daily low of Mangalore in January: 22˚ C (72˚ F). Average daily temp for Madison in January: -11.2˚ C (11.1˚ F).
Ankghost0912 Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 misinussam, Your profile is good apart from the CGPA part. I got the exact same scores ,but if you are thinking that GRE scores alone would get you an admission you are mistaken. You did not mention the place where you did your research internship from and the projects you did. Extra Curricular activities may or may not help your cause. You see graduate admissions are different from undergraduate ones. I think in your SOP do mention about your low CGPA and the reason behind it and all should go well
