I also got into the CJ program at Rutgers-Newark. At least our (tiny, non-externally valid) sample indicates that they might just be a little behind schedule in general. Wondering if anyone has heard anything about UNO Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice. They had a late application deadline (February 1st). Did you interview w them? If you applied to the PhD like I did, you should have heard something by now, as I was accepted into the Masters program after being rejected for the PhD. Yeah, I hear the same thing. I went down to visit the campus a few months ago and loved it! I worry about the funding...even if funded I hear a lot of their funding is doing online teaching which means little research building. IDK I guess we will see what they offer.
