I'm no expert. I've talked about this a lot with my mentors. And I've attended and left a graduate program because my needs weren't being met. Ultimately it doesn't matter where you go to school. the

Lurker here just wanting to offer some perspective.  I am probably old enough to be a parent to most of you.  I come to the art world with a bachelor's, master's, and over two decades of work in other

Alfred and UCLA have already sent out their acceptances in Ceramics.  Notre Dame wasn't on your original list of schools, just wondering?  You already heard from them you were accepted for Ceramics? @jenniebk

I  just received a rejection from University of Nebraska (painting), I also received a call from University of Florida and was put on the wait list, they informed me that they only accepted 4 people into the program (so if you are one of the lucky 4 and are not planning on attending... wink wink!!)

University of Washington -

University of Nebraska - Rejected

Indiana University - Bloomington -

University of Florida - Wait listed

University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth - Accepted

Southern Illinois University - Carbondale -

I submitted a writing sample and couple of jpgs of my own work.

Thanks for your help. I submitted an entirely visual arts-based portfolio, without a writing sample. I just got off the phone with a representative from the department explaining they are still making decisions and that it could even be next week before some of us hear back.

Hi! New to these forums, just a quick question:

Did anyone apply to UC Irvine's MFA? Have you heard back?
I specifically did the concentration in Critical & Curatorial studies.

Thanks!

Yes, they are doing in-person interviews today, I believe, although I'm flying out next week to do mine. I was contacted at the start of the month to schedule my interview.

Thanks! At the start of February they had told me the graduate committee had not met yet. I did not think I would be accepted into their program, but good to know for sure! I live in Los Angeles, so they probably would have invited me by now ;D

Congratulations!
