I am waitlisted at Queen's University for MPH. I checked the application portal yesterday and my status had changed from 'application complete' to 'application submitted'.  Now I am worried that they might not have reviewed my application until now, which doesn't sense b/c they emailed me that I was waitlisted 2 months ago.

Has anybody else experienced this?

I've had the same thing happen as well. Maybe we will hear back soon!

Hopefully, that will be amazing. If I am not wrong, it seems like you have made up your mind to attending Western, which is a great school. I have a friend who went there and he had an amazing experience. He highly spoke of the placement opportunities.

That's so exciting to hear! Yes, I will be attending Western and I am very excited about the placement opportunities as well. Very much looking forward to this next year.

As for Queens, I just want them to close my application and let me know what the status is. If I get a refusal, then that's that but I will be declining if I get an offer :)

I was somewhere on the top 5 thats what the grad assistant told me when I emailed her. Your ranking might have changes since they sent out some offers. I would email the grad assistant to find out more. Wishing you luck:)

Hiya!

Current MPH Epi student at U of T, entering second year. MPH programs usually aren't very well funded, in comparison to MSc programs that are generally covered (most or all) by the department for at least the first year. It is true that U of T's MPH programs are eligible for CIHR CGS-M. I actually won this! :D But I admit that it is not common for MPH students to win this award. U of T also offers other smaller scholarships/bursaries/grants to make the program more affordable. We also have two practicum placements (one required, another optional), and at least for epi students the pay was pretty good.

You're right that funding info is usually all over the place. It drove me crazy too! But I certainly took the time to make sure I found all the possible things I was eligible for that I could apply to. If you have more questions about funding at U of T, send me a message and I'd be glad to help!

Hello Hiya

I also wish to apply for U of T but I m international applicant with aggregate of 78% in B.pharmacy I have also worked with NGO's as a volunteer but admission in epidemiology University is asking for GRE.What if I choose other specialisations ? What would be acceptance rate or some other tip by which I can make my application better .

Anyone with questions about the MPH epi program at U of T can feel free to message me :) Or anyone having a dilemma about their grad school decisions, really. Would be happy to give my two cents.

Hello

I am an international applicant nd wish to apply for U of T,UBC and even U of W .I have completed my graduation in pharmacy with aggregate of 78% ,I have also worked with NGO'S nearly 7-8 months ,also joined industrial training in 2 companies (1month each) but now I m in a dilemma that whether I should apply for these universities according to my profile because I don't have a good score in graduation . Moreover,U of T is asking for GRE for epidemiology nd I have not written it yet but what if I go  for other specialisations at the University?  Do guide me please as m really worried about my acceptance rate.

Thank you

hey there! i've applied to this program this year and i'm still waiting to hear back. i have a question for you....did you receive an email in march stating that you were highly recommended to the program prior to getting accepted in may? i ask because a bunch of people this year have gotten those emails and i didn't, and i'm wondering if that pretty much means that i'm rejected.
