There has been some debate on whether those who didn’t get interviews (and thus have to withdraw from the match because of it) are able to participate. One program director said that it is true... which would be a change from the previous post match process where you had to have at least one interview to participate. I am curious to see if anyone has insight on how LGBTQ+ friendly the field is generally? I’d try throwing out the question in the discord, since it has come up before. There’s a link elsewhere in the thread. FWIW there are LGBTQ+ GCs currently in the field. It doesn't make sense to me that they'd change that aspect. Right - it just means you’re somewhere on their list of candidates that they would be willing to have in their incoming class, whether at the #1 position or #50.
