So I was placed second on the waitlist for the advanced MSW at UVIC. I was wondering if anyone had declined their offer. I was told that 165 people applied and that they admitted 18. What has the waitlisting been like for others?

Hey Folks, I am in the last semesters of my BSW at UVic (finishing in April) and I am applying for my Advanced MSW for next fall at UVic. I have over ten years of front line experience, my practicum is at the provincial association for policy and community research, I completed a undergraduate research project for the university I was studying at previously as well as directing a intergenerational female community theatre project. My funny question is that I have yet to apply for any NSERC, SSHRC or CSC funding or pre-contact a possible supervisor. Is this going to affect my ability to get into the program? My gpa is currently a 3.7 or a 7 on the UVic scale. Does anyone have experience with getting into this program?
