Hey Guys,
Planning for MS in Mechanical/Manufacturing for Fall 2015
Please suggest me some good universities in which I would be having a fair chance of getting in based on my profile
My B.Tech CGPA: 6.89/10(Mechanical)(9 backlogs cleared)
GRE: 312(165Q + 147V) & 3.5AWA
TOEFL: 105
1 Internship, a couple of good projects and decent LOR's.
I have applied to the following Universities after GRE Exam:
1. IIT Chicago.
2. Indiana University; Indianapolis(IUPUI).
3. University of Michigan, Dearborn.
4. New Jersey Institute of Technology(NJIT), Newark.
Apart from these, I'm planning to apply for another 3-4 Universities from the list below,
5. Drexel University
6. University of Cincinnati, Ohio
7. SUNY Binghamton
8. University of Massachussets Lowell
9. Marquette University
10. Auburn University
11. University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee

And, can someone tell me the chances of me getting a job there in US in a core Mechanical company after doing my MS from an average ranked University?
Because, I have heard that almost everyone who does their Masters in Mech would not find jobs in their sector and would be forced to learn some Computer/IT courses and eventually end up ina Comp. Science job. I would be more than grateful if you can clarify this for me.
