  1. Did anyone apply to Truman State University for spring admissions? If so, have you heard back?
  2. twinguy, I was wondering if you knew on the Valdosta State University point scale for admissions, is the GPA considered your major or cumulative GPA? Thanks for both of your input. I have found it very helpful.
  3. Hi everyone! I am currently a senior at UIUC in Speech and Hearing Sciences. My GPA in pre-requisite courses is 3.15 (no Cs, but 3 B-), my major GPA is a 3.33, and my cumulative GPA is a 3.56. I have not taken the GRE yet, but scored a 146 Q and 152 V on a practice test, without studying. My experiences in the field include receiving therapy from birth to eighth grade and teaching a preschool course in high school. In college I was my sorority's philanthropy chair for a semester, held multiple positions within my service fraternity, and am on a committee for NSSLHA. I will have worked in our cafeteria for three years and volunteer at different schools throughout the community/will have worked as a classroom aide in one of our developmental labs. I also will have worked in one of the labs focusing on language and shadowed different speech pathologists in the schools, hospitals, and clinics. From this, does it seem that I have a chance at graduate admissions when it comes time to apply? How can I work to strengthen my application? I do not plan on applying to top programs, but would love to be able to attend an out of state program- does anyone have any suggestions for programs? Thank you in advance!!
