  1. Thank you so much! Is someone willing to look over my cv?
  2. Another question: I presented two papers at a small, local conference at my college twice, but it's not like the papers are published/going to be published. Can I still include this under "presentations"?
  3. Hi guys, I'm applying to PhD programs in Sociology. However, I was a double major during undergrad and have an honors thesis in soc. and an honors thesis in history. Under the "thesis" section of my cv, should I just mention sociology or do I include both? If I do the former, is it okay to just put the history thesis under "research experience"? Also, under "relevant coursework" do I list courses for both majors? Lastly, would someone be willing to look it over? Thanks!
  4. Is it acceptable to send in parts of my honors thesis? It's 60 pages long, and I was thinking of sending in the abstract, intro, the analysis, and the conclusion. If so, do I indicate somewhere on the sample that these are excerpts from my thesis?
  5. These responses were super helpful. Thanks everyone!!!
  6. Hey everyone, I'm broadly interested in how postcolonial societies have been shaped about their colonial pasts (also how they think about they past, so memory etc.). I'd also love to look into how states that colonize have been shaped by their colonial ventures. These interests don't seem to fit neatly into any particular subfield. The articles I've been reading have mostly been comparative in nature. Mostly comparing colonial state x to colonial state y, but these don't really excite me. I'd love to make the december deadlines and am wondering if anyone on here had thoughts about any of this/have any schools they can think of that may be worth looking into. Thanks guys!
