Hi everyone! I result searched for "iowa painting" and figured that the earliest result came out on feb 26 last year. Maybe we can expect to hear back from iowa this week? I'm having my fingers crossed Also I saw a lot of new users visiting my website from baltimore recently (it was 2 or 4 last time I checked, which is about one or two weeks ago).... I know some painting applicants got interview notifications earlier this month if I'm remembering it correctly, and I didn't get one... could this boost of visits in baltimore possibly mean anything?? maybe a waitlist or something like that? ahhhh i'm becoming way too anxious than I should be good luck for the interviews/applications/random things everyone! also happy new year if anyone here is celebrating lunar new year ------------------------------------------------------------------- update I just figured out how to use google analytics to see when did those visits from baltimore happen... 1 on Jan 30, 1 on feb 3, 2 on feb 5 (guess they're reviewing...) 6 on feb 15 (which is the next day of painting interviews), 3 on feb 19 hopefully it's something.......

I have that russia visitor too. that guy is not looking at all (0 session, 0 time), and he is visiting really really frequently!

regarding interviews (painting) VCU "The department will reach out to you if they want to interview. This is usually done over skype. Admissions decisions are typically done in March/April." RISD "Painting does require interviews and if they request one, you will be contacted directly. We aim to notify all applicants by March 24th." MICA " We will be reaching out to interview candidates in the coming weeks and in some cases we have already begun. Please note that an interview is not an offer of admission, and that we will likely admitted students we do not immediately interview. Application decisions will be delivered in late March. International applicants receive their decisions via email."

For those who got an email invitation from Saic painting ---- did your applyyourself/slideroom application status change?

Since my flight is delayed cuz of the snow, I just went through all the replys to last year's freak out thread after feb 1. Interview is required for painting, so if you didnt get any invitation then you're out. Invitations for painting came out on feb 4 last year, and some people said that they got it on feb 5. Not sure if they checked email/forum frequently or not, but I guess maybe there's still a chance to receive an invitation tmr. Also there's a guy saying that he got a snail mail invitation rather than email. I emailed Patrick Q (who's in charge of mfa painting applications) and his auto reply says that " I am out of the office today conducting admissions reviews, Monday February 2. I will reply to your email as soon as possible upon returning to the office on Tuesday February 3." I emailed him later this afternoon, hopefully I could receive an reply tomorrow morning. I don't know much about the low res program, maybe you can read last year's thread. It's sorta relieving. Good luck everyone!!

I got plain rejection from Yale and haven't heard anything from Saic yet. Feeling horrible. Maybe I should just accept the fact that I'm not gonna get into any school this year. Feeling like the least favorable applicant in the world

I went to the portfolio day and asked the guy from Tyler about funding. He talked a LOT about it, there're all different kinds of opportunities. but rule of thumb: max of one year of full ride.
