  1. That was very helpful, aberrant Thanks a lot again for all the help.
  2. Again, thank you all a lot for the help. My concern was that in the website of the PhD programs, it is written that all the application materials should be uploaded through the online application system, which is usually governed not by the department itself. And it is also written that no material should be sent to the department directly. I have not applied to any PhD yet. I will apply next semester, deadline of which is December 2015. So, if I should and I can upload my Sponsorship Letter during the online application period, I will try to get my Sponsorship Letter until december and to do that I will deal with some bureaucracy now. Therefore, what I need to understand is whether I should and I can include my Sponsorship Letter in my online application which ends in December. Do you know anything about this?
  3. Thanks a lot for the advice I also think exactly the same thing as you. But I don't know if it is possible to add my Sponsorship Letter in the online application process. And indeed I want to learn this. I just thought that maybe the university's application process will want me to upload the required materials only.
  4. Hello everyone. I am going to apply to some PhD programs in the USA next semester. I am a foreigner and I obtained a full scholarship for tuition and other expenses for my PhD study from my government. The government wil give me a Sponsorship Letter about the scholarship. I need to ask one question to those who have an application experience to the PhD programs in the USA. When should I present this Sponsorship Letter to the universities that I am going to apply? Should I (and Can I) present it in the online application process together with transcript, statement of purpose etc.? Or should I present it after I am admitted by a university? This is a very critical issue for me because depending on when to present the Sponsorship Letter, I will have to deal with some bureaucracy right now to get it ready in time. I thank you all for any help in advance. Good luck everyone!
  5. Thank you very much for all advice and help. I didn't know that my recommenders should edit each letter for each school name. I thought that my recommenders may write one letter without reference to any particular university and this way they can use the same letter for all universities. But since I don't know what they are going to write, it may be necessary to edit the letter for each university name as you said.
  6. That is good news! Thank you for the help. And by saying "my recommenders did them all in one day", you don't mean "the whole day", do you?
  7. Hello everyone. I am going to apply to several master's programs in the USA and the UK. I read all admission process details but there is only one point that I didn't completely understand. I talked to 2 of my academics in my former university and they both agreed to write a letter of recommendation for me. But my professors are very old (one is 63 and other is 69 years old). If the sending process of the letters of recommendation via internet is a very time-consuming and a difficult process for each letter to send to each university, then I suspect if my professors will and can spend so much time with sending a letter to each university. I just thought that sending the letters to each university by academics may take hours (or is it so? This is what I wonder). How are these letters of recommendation sent by academics? Are the letters just sent to an email addresss by an academic who has an official @edu email? Or (as I fear) are the letters uploaded to universities' online application websites by academics through a time-consuming process? Thanks in advance for all your help!
