  1. Can you tell me a little bit about the clinic? What kinds of clients do grad students typically get to work with? How are the professors? Also, what about housing? I was looking into graduate housing, and while the on-campus apartments look SO NICE, they're very expensive. What apartment complexes off campus do grad students get for the year? Thank you!!!
  2. Anyone know anything about West Virginia University?!
  3. La Salle's program is great. The professors are wonderful, and from what I've heard the master's program does a great job preparing its students for the profession. What some people may not know is that La Salle has a five year master's program. Students who are in the five year program start taking their graduate classes during the first semester of their senior year and then get their master's after their fifth year at La Salle. Students who enter in the master's program after completing their undergrad degree join the class of the five year students. So if you were to attend La Salle in the fall, about half of your class would consist of college seniors who are completing their last two undergrad speech courses and taking the same graduate courses that you would be taking. My only worry about being in a class with the five year students is that half of the class already knows each other well. I would feel like I was at a bit of a disadvantage coming in and trying to make friends, but I've heard from master's students that this is not the case. Everyone is welcoming and happy to get to know each other. But really I have nothing bad to say about the program. The professors are extremely knowledgable and are always willing to help you.
  4. Can someone tell me a little bit about the University of Montana?! I've been accepted, and I'm really excited about it. The reason I applied is because I was very intrigued by the Big Sky Aphasia Lab. Working with Aphasia patients is a strong interest of mine at the moment, and I would love to learn about more of the great aspects of this program. I am from out of state, and it is not possible for me to visit any time before April 15th. One thing that I am a bit concerned about is the fact that its rank is not published in the U.S. News Best Grad School Rankings. I am not too concerned with school rankings since you end up with the same degree no matter which school you attend, but I am curious as to why the university did not want to publish its ranking.
