  1. ^ just saw that you posted the schedule in your signature, thank you!!! the classes you circled with different sections - are they broken up by concentration did she say or could you pick the second you want?
  2. Yeah, I also love my job and really need the income and they are willing to be flexible with my hours. I just don't know how feesible it will be as it's mostly a Mon-Fri job with only rare weekend work. I was thinking of working about 20 or so hours a week, but again, not sure if/how that can work. Where did you get the schedule from for next year? Do you know the schedule for this fall?
  3. I'm sorry to those who didn't get in and best of luck to those of you who were waitlisted! =) ahhh! Thank you!! I was looking for this trying to plan my fall schedule as I definitely want to work part time and need to figure out how doable it would be...I was looking as a reference point for last fall's schedule and noticed alot of the major classes have multiple times available...I wonder who gets priority or is it concentration based? Are you thinking of working part time as well? I really want to keep my job if possible so there's no gaps on my resume...
  4. Berkeley is actually the only school I applied to, but it was also my top choice so I figured that I'd just go for it and cast my net wider next year if I didn't get in (thankfully I did!). I also was an undergrad there and also loved my experience, and that's definitely one of the reasons. The second is that I live in the bay area and did not want to move, I plan to keep working at my job part time and want to intern and eventually work in this area and could not afford to go out of state. The program I also hear is excellent and again, just love that campus and my experiences as a undergrad there and have friends who are currently students there so it just seemed perfect all around. I also have a friend who went to grad school at Columbia after Berkeley as an undergrad and loved both. Must be a tough decision for you! =)
  5. my info for the person who asked (sorry, I can't find your post anymore) -- GPA 3.9 GRE: Verbal: 161, Math: 149, Essay: 4.5 a little less than 2 years of experience working as a Case Manager with seniors hope this helps! I do really think they weigh experience/essays/letters more than hard and fast stats though when it comes to who they choose to admit...or , at least, this is what I have been told. I also think they pick a well-rounded group for each concentration and look for different backgrounds and experience. good luck to you all!!
  6. thank you!!! so glad the wait is over!! and sure! what info were you looking for?
  7. I just found out as well! (well, actually, at 5:03pm). I got an email saying to check my admission status online as it had been updated and found out I was admitted Gerontology concentration FYI
  8. hi guys! has anyone else heard back yet?? This waiting is positively awful!!
