Hi, I'm currently doing a M.S. in Statistics at Stanford. I just recently became interested in doing a PhD in econ, probably econometrics. By the time I apply, I will have finished one quarter of measure theory and one quarter of PDE (besides the basic courses in probability, statistics, and stochastic processes required at Stanford). I got 170/170/5.5 on the GRE, and I was going to take the math subject GRE, but I don't think that would improve my chances for econ. I'm not an international student. As an undergrad, I had a 3.9 GPA as a math major at a top-20 school (but not a school known for math). What would be reasonable schools to apply to?
