  1. I've been accepted to one of my top two choices - am still waiting to hear from the other, but this acceptance definitely means I wouldn't consider offers from two other programs, neither of which has contacted me in any fashion. I've read a few threads that suggest applicants should withdraw applications if they know for sure they won't be attending a program, to save the admissions committee the trouble and so that spots can be opened up for other candidates, so I'd like to draft an email to these two programs informing them that I'm withdrawing my application. But is it too late in the season to withdraw applications? I worry that a withdrawal will seem rude to an adcom that hasn't yet contacted me, as if to say "there's nothing your program could possibly offer to make me consider it, so don't bother." But I would hate to extend another applicant's wait time, if my withdrawal could have helped their acceptance. Thoughts?
  2. last week i emailed the berkeley prof i chatted with back in november, and he said the program has already sent out all its acceptances. shortly after that email, my online status changed from "submitted" to a rejection letter, so i got the impression that changing the online status wasn't automatic. maybe email or call the secretary just to be sure? congrats on UT boston - where do you think you'll go?
  3. I noticed that someone posted a UT PPP interview on the results page - Boston or Morse, was that you? I applied there as well; haven't heard anything yet. I will see you at Stanford's visit, Morse - really looking forward to it. Have also applied to Berkeley (no word) and Oregon (no word; late deadline), and to Northwestern IPTD, who invited me for an interview as well. It's the same days as Stanford's, so I can't go. Morse, which directing MFA programs do you like?
  4. second on the congrats, morse. @boston, was your acceptance at UGA or UT?
  5. i haven't heard a peep - was wondering the same thing myself. i don't even know if they do interviews...
