Hello -
I'm new to this website so I hope I'm doing this correctly! I'm applying for Photography MFA programs for this upcoming Fall 2013. The process has been very different from the college application process and I was just wondering what schools are viewed as safety schools? Also, I've been told by some accepted applicants that they went out of their way and contacted chairs of the departments? Have other people done this? Lastly, what type of recommendations do you think they're looking for? Working photographers, professors...?
