C2 in Philly. Rejection packet dated May 3rd, had 3 reviews.

I just sent emails to my senators and representatives. Hopefully people noticing these cuts will make them notice too.

ughgradschool!, that pretty much sums up everything I've been thinking. I just want them to acknowledge the deadline and that we are all waiting!

Still no news here, but SensLu I'd love if that were the case and we were all still in the running. I just left a voicemail for Brandon Jones, the technical contact. If I hear any information I'll be sure to post.

I think the 8-12 months thing is the official selection, like when you finalize paperwork and such. The past forums all show people finding out in the april/may time frame. Let's hope that's the case, I don't think my sanity will be able to handle much more waiting.

I was also between either E2 and E3 and the one I chose, mostly because my PI thought that one would be better.

So I'm guessing everyone is stalking this page like I am, or I hope so at least. So I thought I'd ask what's everyone's FON and what is your project on? I'm C2 - Nanotechnology, and I want to look at remediation of metal toxins on iron oxides in high ionic strength waters; sea water, brines, etc. Any other C2's?

I am so anxious to find out. Last year the first set of rejection letters were dated 4/12. So it really could be any time now! Good luck everyone!!

Agreed! I thought it was definitely over 2000, so this is great news. If only they would tell us now, instead of in a month.

I don't know if anyone is already anxiously waiting about finding out, but I definitely am. Perusing the EPA website today I found that 1396 of us applied for this years awards. I'm pretty sure I submitted mine the day before the deadline, Nov 26.

I just got my email form receipt.application@epa.gov. Looks like they're getting them out before the holidays. Says we will find something out in 6months, good luck everyone.

I thought the deadline was Nov 27? I guess if they were still accepting after Dec 10, they must be really behind. I still haven't received anything from the EPA. Hopefully we'll hear something after the holidays.

I also emailed monday to ask about the receipt but haven't heard anything back. Does anyone know a phone number we can call just to make sure?

Has anyone received the EPA email receipt from receipt.application@epa.gov? Grants.gov said everything my application was received, but the award website says we should get an additional email as well. Thanks!
