Fellow Russia applicant here. I legit feel like I'm on crazy pills.
I have no idea what's going on; diplomatic relations between Russian & the U.S. haven't been awesome recently and Russia's response to the Magnitsky list over the weekend sure didn't help. I wonder if that has anything to do with it...
well, I read somewhere earlier on this forum that Russia sent their picks to the US Fulbright board on March 1. The problem here is not Russian bureaucracy (although it usually makes sense to blame that) but probably some republicans in congress... But you're right, the stuff that happened lately doesn't help at all!! Things were better when John Beyrle was the ambassador, I don't think McFaul is doing a good job at all , he seems to be an ineffective diplomat to me. And from what I see and read from the Russian newsmedia he is not well liked by the Russian contingent.

I'm coming out of the lurker woodwork because the anticipation is slowly killing me. I just called the DC office and they said Russian applicants might not find out until LATE APRIL. Please tell me this isn't true.
Big congrats to those getting accepted by Spain today! I am currently an English teacher here, so if you have any questions about life in Spain, don't hesitate to ask!
ужас какой-то!!!!!! the suspense is killing me + I can't really make plans for summer/fall/next year until I hear from Fulbright. I want to see my family in the summer but if I get accepted to Fulbright then I'll have to go to an orientation in dc..etc... wonder why Russia in particular is taking so long. Doesn't make sense.

Jesus, I hope you're wrong! Wasn't it April 11 last year? This is getting ridiculous, considering that Russia reported its picks to the US side back on March 1.
Hi, fellow Russia ETA candidate here... I've recently started prowling the internet to find out when we'll be informed about the results. Thank you for the update. I instinctively blamed Russian bureaucracy but obviously it is in the hands of Washington at this point. . .
