Yes! I'm really excited about my decision! Oh, did you send me a another message? I believe I replied the first one.
-
Accepted the offer from Albert Einstein College of Medicine :-)
-
Oh no... All of my interviewers from the school that I just been to asked me what schools I applied.
-
I'm trying to figure out some reasons why some students cannot be admitted after their interviews. Any thoughts?
-
Many thanks Biotechie! You are always the one who answers my question promptly and right to the point!
-
I'm going to an interview next Monday and Tuesday, but the program still hasn't sent me the list of interviewers yet. Is this normal?
-
Congrats! What school is this?
-
I noticed in some posts some of you know the acceptance rate after interview. How did you know this? Told during the interview?
-
Congrats! Admit without interview is loved by all the people!

I called 214-648-5617 on this web page:http://www.utsouthwestern.edu/about-us/contact-us.html

Thank you so much biotechie especially for your extra info on clothing!

This might be a silly question: do we need to take notes during interview? Or do we need to bring a purse or something to carry, say, CV, cell phone, etc?
-
No, they didn't talk about rejections. But you can definitely email them if you think this is more comfortable than talking on the phone. It's likely that they will send out a mass email but it is also possible that they won't send rejections at all... So I will check with them occasionally instead of waiting for their notifications. One reason I think they set March 1st to be THEIR deadline is because there are also international applicants: usually domestic applications are reviewed first, and then they review the international ones. And international applicants usually receive interview invitations later than domestic applicants. Good luck!
-
Yes, hopefully =) I called them a few days ago, and was told that my application was still under review. Also, the extending of interviews/offers will be no later than March 1st!
-
Sigh. Still haven't heard any word from UT Southwestern. Any one else here is also waiting for it? I submitted my application (basic science program) way before the priority deadline. And emailed twice about the progress, but no reply.
-
No, I'm coming on 2/28-3/1. I only have two sessions to choose from when I received the invitation, and the other one is in mid-March, so I think I'd better choose the earlier one.

Thanks aryelh Yes I have this guy's phone number in mail and I called him today. He gave me an email address on phone to let me arrange my own flights, but I started doubting if I wrote down the address correct or not because...because...I couldn't hear him clearly...I'd better check with him again, which is embarrassing...Hope this won't count as part of the interview performance You are in NY, that's awesome, you don't need to reserve flights =) Good luck on your interview!
-
Is there anyone here receiving an invitation from Albert Einstein College of Medicine? Are you told to schedule your air and then email the flight number, time, etc to an address like this: mttzl@aol.com?

Yeah, I'm still waiting for Baylor's decision. Thanks for your information I don't really know how many people they enroll each year, but this is definitely a huge program. According to the current student list: http://oge.med.ufl.edu/Students/CurrentStudents.html, there are about 157 students. If they enroll constant number of people each year, and we divide this number by 5 or 6, i guess >=20. Ohhh...did you mean how many interviewees altogether? I think there might be fewer people in the second session. I just feel I'm not well-prepared for an interview so I chose the second one.
-
Good luck to your interview at University of Florida!! I'm going to the second interview session on Feb 24. I saw on their website (http://idp.med.ufl.edu/admissions/faculty-availability-for-idp-interviews/) that there might be over 40 students in your session
-
When we are asked to choose faculty interviewers, are we limited to choose only those professors who are going to recruit new students in the coming semester?
-
Thank you Banksy! Seems schools have different systems of making decisions =)
-
Dear friends- If a school offers two interview sessions at different dates, would it be better to choose the earlier one? I mean, is the chance of getting admitted equal in each session? I think it should be a positive answer, but I'm asking this because I heard one of my friends who is a business major talking about their rolling admission process in which places are filled on the first come, first serve basis. So what do you think?
-
YES!! Invitation from IDP in biomedical sciences from university of Florida!

Congrats biotechie!! Seems like I should check with them tomorrow directly. Can't wait =) Hope they will send some more invitations tomorrow instead of rejections =(
