I don't think when you apply matters. I did this all last year and definitely waited til the last minute for all of them. Didnt get in everywhere but some decent places. Your stats sound good, so maybe your essay/recs didnt stand out? Id put most effort into those.

Unfortunately most schools do not send out rejections until after interviews. A lot of the schools you applied to are discussed in this thread, most do only send one wave out. This was one of the hardest parts for me last year.

Business casual is almost always appropriate. If its something else, the interview invite will tell you or it IS OKAY TO ASK the admissions admin people, they are there to help.

Totally varies from school to school. One place I interviewed told us they took everyone who wasn't crazy, another took only half, the rest in between.

No I did not get an invite, I was in email contact with the director, and on Dec 23rd I was told all interview invites were sent, they interview less than 20 people.

brown told me in december they had finished invites .

Amtrack northeast regional is cheaper, pretty comfortable, you can carry on more bags, and you dont need to show up hours earlier. Its pretty simple.
