How is the department of physics at Boston College

I have firsthand experience with BC's physics department. They have some of the best experimental condensed matter physicists and that's about it. So obviously the "general physics" ranking is going to be pretty low for such a 1-dimensional school. But if you want to do CME, BC is a good 2nd tier school.
