I was just accepted to the Aerospace Engineering Masters program at UIUC. However, no word on funding yet. What should I do to increase my chances of securing funding? I have already emailed a professor who I hope to do research with but will contacting graduate admissions help secure a possible TA or RA position?

I have applied to a few of the top schools (MIT, Berkeley, ect.) for a masters degree in mechanical engineering. Do schools do interviews for the masters programs? and if so is it a bad sign if other students are being offered interviews and have not not?

I have applied to a few aerospace masters programs (MIT, Cal Tech, Illinois, Geargia Tech, Maryland). I am a student athlete with no research experience. Undergrad at a respected state school. GPA:3.80 Major:3.86 GRE Q: 168, V: 154, 4.0 Do I stand a chance of acceptance?
