Has anyone heard back from Univ of Maryland-College Park?

I applied to Delaware for a PhD in Chemical Engineering for fall 2011 and I did not get a decision too for long. Pasting the reply I got from the department below, hope you find it useful. Thank you for writing regarding your application. The department's admission committee has reviewed 400 + applications and is now awaiting responses from those to whom an offer of admission was extended. If the department needs additional students after all responses are in, a few more offers may be extended. If you have not received an offer of admission or a rejection, it means you are on a wait list. No additional waitlist information is available. We will notify you as soon as a decision is made. Sincerely, (This was on 11th April 2011, they sent me a reject on 21st April 2011)

Hey all, New to gradcafe. I am an international student and will be graduating with a masters from a pretty well ranked state university this May. I have applied for a PhD program in 5 universities - georgia tech, JHU, UMD-CP, Colorado school of mines and Lehigh. I haven't heard back from any of these schools but every prof I mailed in all 5 schools replied to me in October 2012. Mailed them again in December saying application has been submitted and I have strongly suggested that I would love to work with them in it and a couple of them replied. And oh, I have a bad grade in Transport which I am afraid, will ruin my chances. Moreover, I haven't submitted any paper as yet, though I am writing one. Good GRE scores and decent undergrad GPA. I am getting pretty nervous, pessimistic and tensed right now. Is there anything at all any of you would suggest I do at this point?
