  1. Hi balnista_grd, I haven't gotten anything from Stanford yet. My application is still incomplete. I don't know what's wrong with my GRE score. They just can't match it. But Patrick said it's not a big problem and I can still get my admission decision without an official GRE score.
  2. If you are only interested in industry with a master degree, M.Eng in Umich is actually a very good choice. From what I know, SpaceX hires lots of space engineering people from Umich, and Professor Cutler are doing very well in his nano-satellite project.
  3. @balnista_grd why do you say that? There's even no PhD admission reported. But Stanford is really weird this year.
  4. @zecone13 It's much better than a rejection! Hope you can get off from the waitlist. BTW, do you hear anything back from Stanford? More waitlist posted for phd program...
  5. It seems that MIT follows their routine. The last day of Feb is the day for wait list, and May 1st is definitely for rejections. People do get in from a wait list. Check the last post from last year. It was an acceptance from wait-list. What makes me really confused is Stanford's behavior. I don't know what are they waiting for. No rejections were posted. No news at all since the end of Jan.
  6. Well, I'm sorry to discourage all but I have some ominous feelings... Just look at the post from last year: They are waiting for the result and Beth told them almost the same thing: there are still more admissions... However, it turned out none of them got the acceptances, even a wait-list. I keep thinking that if someone is qualified for a program, what is the committee waiting for? Again, I'm sorry if I make any of you upset. It's always good to have positive thinking anyways.
  7. @jam_sister at least you've gotten your admission from Stanford -- they keep telling me my application is currently under review. I don't know what to do... Are you waiting for their funding decisions?
  8. @Zecone13, have you heard anything back from Stanford? They have been keeping silent since the end of Jan when they send out admissions...
  9. @ankit.shah Apart from those two, I also applied Umich. @jam_sister Someone posted in the result saying that she/he emailed Beth and was told that all the admits were sent. I guess it just took a while to send out all the rejections...so sad.
  10. @ankit.shah You don't need worry about the funding from MIT. It;s a mini phd offer for MIT admitted students; almost everyone gets fundings. (MIT's rich. ) You can double check with your advisor. But I'm pretty sure that was the case for last year. My friend got admitted and attended visit day. That's what he told me. Congrats! I just realized we have the same POIs both for MIT and Stanford. But I haven't got any news from either of them. I guess my competitors are too strong, like you...
  11. Another rejection posted, commenting: all the admits were went..
  12. antik.shah, what's your research interest? Do you plan to withdraw Stanford? Thanks!
  13. She didn't say that she will send MORE admissions. That's what I asked. By answering my question, she replied that faculty are still working. Hope the best for all of us.
  14. "No one has received a decision this week, as they are not finalized, so that's correct - it does not mean that you are rejected." is quoted directly from her email. She also said: "Our faculty are still working on making decisions and we are still on track to notify applicants via email on or very close to March 1." when I ask her how long it will take her to send out all the admissions -- will her send out more MS admissions next week.
  15. Hey guys, weird things here. I emailed Beth this afternoon, asking:"it doesn't necessarily mean I'm rejected if I wouldn't hear back from you about my admission decision this week, right?" She told me: "No one has received a decision this week, as they are not finalized, so that's correct - it does not mean that you are rejected." SO, what happened to those who posted acceptance? From their POI?
